Well, the weekend is now over. (I know it was over three days ago... but I haven't had the time to write recently). I have to say that Rachel's parties were both a HUGE success!!! We had her bridal shower on Friday and played lots of great games that Nikki researched and set up. I have to say that Nikki did an amazing job putting together some awesome games that I had never heard of (ex-husband names in a balloon and writting love letters to Rachel from Chris using a set list of items- congrats to Dawn for winning that one). She also put together some awesome gift baskets for teh person with the most points and the person with the least points. The winner- Jacquie- got a basket of spa lotions and such. The loser- Dawn- got a gift basket with some really terrible movies like boogie man and the greatest hits of Bette Midler and Kenny G. it was a great time and lots of fun!

The Bachelorette party was also awesome thanks in most part to Nikki once again! We did a scavenger hunt because Rachel is a gianormous fan of scavenger hunts and usually writes one for all of her friends to participate in every year but never get's to participate herself. So this time she had to figure out all of the clues to get her supplies that she would for that night. We got facials, Cheryl taught us lots of things about make-up with Mary-Kay, we ate out at Rachel's favorite mexican restraunt (where I was told on how great my hair and eyes complimented each other and looked amazing and I got asked out on a date for coffee...but turned him down because I am not divorced yet and would feel like I was cheating even though he is gone), then we went to Rachel's house to get ready for a night out on the town. We decorated the car with window chalk and caution tape and headed out. Our first stop was the 7440 Club in Roseville. It was a blast!! We played the find that guy game and each person had three different guys to find. Some of them were Mr. Too old for the club, Sergeant Too Drunk Too Soon, DJ Bling, etc. It was a BLAST looking for these guys at the clubs (we also went to the Sandbar to end our pirate/scavenger hunt theme). At the 7440 I was asked to dance twice!! which I continued to turn down to ensure that I would never have a guilty conscience about cheating since there is still a marriage license in place. But it was really nice to be noticed again! I haven't been complimented by a male for a VERY long time so it felt great and I feel great that I have the personal strength and integrity to have turned them dowm politely and remain true to the marriage vows that I took until they are disolved. (yes this is me bragging about how great I am! But it is my blog so I get to write what I want ;) ) ANYWAY.... after the sandbar- which, by the way Chris- Incredible job on the message in the bottle to Rachel. I hope that she laminates it (as is our way) and frames it to hang somewhere that she can see and read it everyday!!! Once again, after the Sandbar we went to Denny's and had some food. When we were driving there Rachel said "MMmmmmm....I want som french fries!" So when we got there I thought that she would order something with fries. Nope. She ordered nachos with grilled chicken-thanks to our amazing waitress for making that possible- but nothing with fries. I asked her if she still wanted to get some fries and she said that she had not wanted any fries. So she didn't order any. Then when Nikki's cheeseburger with fries arrived what did she say?? "oooh! Fries!!" She says that she was joking.... but I am still not too sure. ;)

So the parties were once again a great success. Thanks to Nikki for all of her hard work and effort that she put into both of the parties. Don't believe her when she says that she didn't do much or that it was really easy. She really did work hard and put many a long night into the games and hunts. Thank you Nikki!!! And good luck Rachel!!!
